titleOfInvention Production of granular rice bran oil cake
abstract PURPOSE: To prevent collapse of grains and to easily and inexpensively obtain rice bran oil cake which can be mechanically sprayed and is an org. fertilizer having excellent fertilization efficiency by subjecting the granular matter after rice bran oil is recovered by granulating and drying the rice bran then extracting the oil therefrom to steam pressurization and sizing the same. n CONSTITUTION: The rice bran separated and screened the rice fine powder is then put into a steaming machine where steam is blown thereto to adjust, for example, the moisture to about 15% and the temp. to about 90°C; thereafter, the rice bran is pelletized by a screw extruder, etc. The pellets are dried to 4W5% moisture. The pellets are then charged into an extraction vessel where the liquid mixture composed of the solvent obtd. by solvent extraction using hexane, etc., and the rice bran oil is distilled to separate both. The residual solvent in the rice bran is driven out by the steam and is recovered. The granular rice bran is again pressurized for about 6minutes under, for example, about 2kg/cm 2 by steam blowing in the extraction vessel and is then sized and solidified, by which the granular rice bran oil cake free from collapse is obtd. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1989,JPO&Japio
