titleOfInvention Active oxygen formation inhibitor
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain an active oxygen formation inhibitor excellently suppressing formation of active oxygen, effective for various inflammations, comprising a phenyl derivative or a salt thereof as an active ingredient. n CONSTITUTION: A phenyl derivative shown by the formula [R 1 and R 2 are H, hydroxyl, alkylalkoxy or nitro; X is -C 2 H 4 COOH or -CH=CH--R 3 (R 3 is -COOH, CHO or -CH 2 OH)] or a salt thereof is contained as an active ingredient, used as it is or blended with a well-known carrier for preparation, excipient, etc., and pharmaceutically manufactured by a conventional procedure to give the aimed substance. The aimed substance can be prepared in the form of oral drug or injection and a daily dose is 10-25mg/kg in the case of oral administration and 10-50mg/kg in the case of injection. The phenyl derivative is readily obtained by extracting JYUZENDAIHOYU comprising powdered Cinnamon bark, etc., and purifying or by chemically synthesizing. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1989,JPO&Japio
