abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain the title composition with a small amount, comprising a substance prepared by dissolving a slightly water-soluble solid agricultural chemical compound and a high polymer compound such as methyl cellulose or hydroxypropyl cellulose in an organic solvent and then distilling away the solvent, as an active ingredient. n CONSTITUTION: A solid agricultural chemical composition containing a substance obtained by dissolving a solid agricultural chemical compound (e.g., buprofezin, mefenacet or isoprothiolane) having ≤100ppm solubility in water at normal temperature and one or more polymers selected from methyl cellulose, hydroxypropyl cellulose, hydroxypropylmethyl cellulose and polyvinyl pyrrolidone in an organic solvent (especially preferably methanol, ethanol or dichloromethane) and distilliug away the solvent as an active ingredient.
