abstract PURPOSE:To obtain high efficiency and long life, by dissolving at least two kinds of coloring matters of sulfur rhodamine B and rhodamine 6G in an organic solvent, and mixing them. CONSTITUTION:In a laser oscillation equipment 11, laser medium is formed by combining at least two kinds of coloring matters of sulfur rhodamine B and rhodamine 6G with necessary mixing ratio, dissolving each coloring matter in an organic solvent, and mixing them. By using this laser medium in a dye laser equipment 10, the deterioration of coloring matters is prevented, the long life is realized, and the high efficiency of dye laser light can be obtained. Further, by using at least two kinds of coloring matters whose mixing ratio is changed corresponding with the wavelength of oscillating laser light 16 of an excitation source, the laser light in an oscillation wavelength region can be output.
