titleOfInvention | Production of pantothenic acid or its salt |
abstract | PURPOSE: To carry out practical production of useful medicines, etc., by reacting a pantothenic acid ester with one of more kinds of ester-hydrolysis enzyme selected from protease, acylase, lipase and esterase. n CONSTITUTION: A pantothenic acid ester is added in an amount of 1W100g/l to an aqueous solution of an ester-hydrolysis enzyme such as protease VII and reacted at 10W50°C for several hr W2days while adjusting the pH of the system to 3W11 with NaOH, etc. The obtained reaction product is purified by reversed phase chromatography to obtain D- or L-pantothenic acid or its salt (e.g., Na salt) according to the need. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1989,JPO&Japio |
