titleOfInvention | Method for resolving optical isomer with cultured plant cell |
abstract | PURPOSE: To efficiently separate the R-isomer of optical isomers useful as sympathetic β-blockers, etc., by adding racemic modification of propranolol hydrochloride or pindolol to a plant culture solution and selectively incorporating the S-isomer of the optical isomers into the resultant cultured cells. n CONSTITUTION: Racemic modification of propranolol hydrochloride expressed by formula I or pindolol expressed by formula II is added to a plant culture solution of Perilla frutescens var. crispa or Gardenia jasminoides Ellis, etc., and brought into contact with the cultured cells to selectively incorporate the S-isomer of optical isomers into the cultured cells, which are then separated from the culture solution. Caustic soda is subsequently added to alkalify the culture solution and ether is added to shake the resultant mixture. Extraction is then carried out to afford the R-isomer of the compound expressed by formula I or II. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1989,JPO&Japio |
