titleOfInvention Production of sulfonylurea derivative
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a sulfonylurea derivative in high yield in a short time, by reacting a sulfonamide derivative with an isocyanic acid derivative in the presence of a Lewis acid. n CONSTITUTION: A sulfonamide derivative having -SO 2 NH 2 as a partial structure is made to react with an isocyanic acid derivative having -NCO as a partial structure in the presence of a Lewis acid (e.g. boron trifluoride) in a solvent (e.g. ether) at room temperature or under heating to obtain the objective sulfonylurea derivative having -SO 2 NHCONH- as a partial structure. The sulfonylurea derivative is e.g. N-(n-propyl)-p-chlorobenzene sulfonylurea. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1989,JPO&Japio
