titleOfInvention Monolithic expansion molding
abstract PURPOSE:To prevent the permeation of urethane into a skin material to obtain a molded product without poor appearance, by setting the skin material on the molding face of a top force, injecting the stock solution of polyurethane foam from the lower side of the mold, and foaming this solution in the mold to unify the polyurethane foam and the skin material. CONSTITUTION:A permeable skin material 3 is set tightly on the inner face of a top force 1 by means of suction from vent holes 7, a bottom force 2 having bung holes 5 being set thereon and both force are clamped. The stock solution of polyurethane foam 4 is injected from bung holes 5 of the bottom force 5. After this injection, the expansion of urethane progresses and thereby the inside of the mold is fully filled. When the skin material 3 set on the top force 1 and the stock solution of foam are contacted together, this stock solution is geled 4' and there is no permeation of the solution into the skin material 3. In addition, the gas 8 generated during the expansion of urethane passes through the permeable skin material 3, exhausted from the vent holes 7 of the top force 1, there is no gas remaining cavities and the produced molding is excellent, having neither appearance failure nor cavity.
