titleOfInvention Thermal recording material
abstract PURPOSE:To obtain a thermal recording material superior in thermal response, light resistance, resistance to weather, oil resistance, and properties of optically reading bar codes etc., in a near infrared region, by a method wherein as a basic colorless dye a thermal color-forming layer contains a fluorane leuco dye, a divinyl compound, and a fluorene leuco dye, which are respectively specifically determined. CONSTITUTION:As a basic colorless dye in a thermal color-forming layer, a fluorane leuco dye shown by a formula I, a divinyl compound shown by a formula II, and a fluorene leuco dye shown by a formula III are incorporated. In this manner, in a hot melt reaction a synergism is generated among the divinyl compound, the fluorane leuco dye, and the fluorene leuco dye. As a result, a chemically bonding force is remarkably enhanced respectively between an organic color developer and the divinyl compound, the organic color developer and the fluorane leuco dye, and the organic color developer and the fluorene leuco dye. In this manner, a color image is kept stable even under a long-term exposure to an environment susceptible to light, heat, humidity, etc., and optical reading characteristics are never deteriorated.
