titleOfInvention Separation of islet of langeerhans from extracted pancreas
abstract PURPOSE: To efficiently separate an islet of Langeerhans from pancreas having progressed fabrication, by feeding a magnetic buffer solution into which magnetic particles are dispersed from pancreatic duct of the extracted pancreas, injecting a freeze inhibitor from an arteria celiaca, freezing, grinding the whole pancreas and adsorbing and separating an exocreine cell by magnetic force. n CONSTITUTION: A magnetic buffer solution (a) by sterile frozen solution of sodium chloride injection having dispersed magnetic particles (e.g., colloidal magnetite having 0.01W0.02μ) is fed from an outlet 3a of a main pancreatic duct 3 to the extracted pancreas, the magnetic particles are permeated and dispersed into an exocrine tissue 1a, a freeze inhibitor b is injected from an arteria celiaca 4 to the extracted pancreas and the freeze inhibitor is permeated to the islet of Langeerhans 2. Then the pancreas is frozen and ground to give frozen fine particles having ≤1.0mmϕ, preferably 0.1W0.2mmϕ, an exocrine cell having coexisting magnetic particles are adsorbed and separated by magnetic force in a state maintained at extremely low temperature to recover the islet of Langeerhans. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1989,JPO&Japio
