abstract PURPOSE: To obtain an improved fungicide containing oxadixyl, dimethomorph, etc., and especially used for controlling fungi belonging to the Oomycetes on tomato, potato, grape, tobacco and Cucurbitaceae plants. CONSTITUTION: This antifungal agent contains a compound of formula I (R1 , R2 are each H, or together form a covalent bond; R3 is H, Cl, Br; X is CH, N; Y is CH2 OCH3 , 2-furyl, benzyl, CH2 Cl) and a compound of formula II in a weight ratio of 1:2 to 1:6:3, and is especially used for controlling fungi belonging to the Oomycetes. The antifungal agent is remarkably effective against the Oomycetes fungi having tolerance against the compound of formula I. Both the ingredients are applied at a total dosage of 500-1000g/ha (e.g. 200g of the compound of formula I and 500g of the compound of formula II) e.g. in the form of spray.
