abstract PURPOSE:To obtain the cyan photographic image of the title material having high sensitivity and high optical density by incorporating a cyan coupler having a specified composition in the sensitive material. CONSTITUTION:The cyan color forming coupler shown by formula I is incorporated in at least one layer of an emulsion layer of the photographic sensitive material formed at least one layer of silver halide emulsion layers on a supporting body. In formula I, Cp is a group removed one of the hydrogen atom from the active point of the cyan color forming coupler, R1 is alkyl, aryl or a heterocyclic ring group which may be substituted, J is oxygen or sulfur atom, (l) is 0 or 1. Thus, the cyan image having the high sensitivity and the high optical density can be formed.
