titleOfInvention Four-wheel steering device for vehicle
abstract PURPOSE:To contrive the improvement of driving stability by improving substantially the yaw rate frequency characteristic especially in a high speed region while a steering response from low to high speed regions. CONSTITUTION:A controller 5, which controls steering a rear wheel, inputs signals from a car speed sensor 4 and a steering angle sensor 3. The controller 5 controls a rear wheel steered angle deltar for a steering angle theta being based on an expression I, in the time of high speed, and an expression II (where shown by N for steering gear ratio, theta' for handle steering angular speed, V for car speed, A, B, C, D, E, k for constants determined by vehicle leading particulars) in the time of intermediate and low speeds. In a boundary region between the time of high speed and the time of intermediate and low speed, drivability improves its stability by continuously determining K, gamma relating to a car speed.
