abstract PURPOSE:To make frictional resistance at the time of application in a wetting state smaller as well as to improve the persistence by installing the specified material on the surface of a base material constituting a medical instrument. CONSTITUTION:A covered layer 1 is formed on each outer surface of an olive 21 of an ED (for tubing nutrition) tube 2 connected to a connector 24 and a body tube 22. This covered layer 1 is formed by covalently binding a reactive functional group, cellulose polymeric material, polyethylene oxide polymer material and water soluble polymeric material selected out of water soluble nylon or its derivative.
