titleOfInvention Method and device for measuring quantum efficiency of infrared detecting element
abstract PURPOSE: To easily obtain the quantum efficiency of an element to be measured by measuring the output signal voltage at the time of not projecting infrared rays to the element and that at the time of separating infrared rays to spectral components to interruptedly projected them to the element. n CONSTITUTION: With respect to a PC type infrared detecting element 1 produced with liquid nitrogen, a cold shield 5 is attached to cover the element 1 and infrared rays radiated to the element 1 from the outside wall of a vacuum Dewar vessel 2 are shielded, thereby realizing the low background radiation level of the element 1. Infrared rays generated in a black body furnace 9 are projected to the element 1 while being chopped by a chopper 10 to measure the output signal voltage of the element, and infrared rays are not projected to the element 1 to measure said output signal voltage, and infrared rays generated by a spectral infrared generating means 14 are projected to the element while being chopped by the chopper to measure said output signal voltage, and the element resistance is measured by a means 13 in both of low and high background radiation levels. Thus, an arithmetic formula is used to easily obtain a quantum efficiency. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1989,JPO&Japio
