titleOfInvention | Thermoplastic electrical insulation board |
abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain excellent dimensional stability and chemical resistance for a thermoplastic electrical insulation board by rolling an amorphous sheet obtained by mixing a crystalline nucleus, anisotropy relaxation agent, smoothing agent and reinforcing agent in polyester resin. n CONSTITUTION: 100 weight part of polyethylene terephthalate or polyester, which has at least 80% or more of repeated unit ethylene terephthalates, is mixed with (a) 5-30 weight part of an inorganic compound with an average grain size of 50μ or smaller, (b) 1-15 weight part of copolymer which consists of 80-99% by weight of α-olefin, 1-20% by weight of glycidyl methacrylate or glycidyl acrylate and 0-19% by weight of vinyl acetate, and (c) 5-50 weight part of fibrous reinforcement. The composition which is then extruded and made into a sheet is rolled until its thickness becomes 95-50% of the original thickness. This process helps to crystallize the polyester and to manifest the effect of each composition at a high level. It results in providing thermoplastic electrical insulation board which excels in dimensional stability and chemical resistance. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1989,JPO&Japio |
