titleOfInvention Synthetic resin lens
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a lens base material which has a high refractive index, is easily moldable and is less colored and to facilitate a polymn. operation and process control by copolymerizing a comonomer essentially consisting of specific components A and components B. n CONSTITUTION: One or more than one kinds of the components A expressed by formula I and ≥1 kinds of the components B expressed by formula II are copolymerized to obtain the lens base material. Bis(2-chlorobenzyl)itaconate, etc., are used as the components A. The component B is used because the diaryl component has good copolymerizability with the compd. of the components A and permits easy reaction control. As a result, the lens base material which has the high refractive index, is simultaneously easily moldable and is less colored is thereby obtd. The components A and the components B are low in reaction rate and the reaction rates of the monomers of the respective components are high; therefore, the reaction control is easy and the polymn. operation and process control are facilitated. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1989,JPO&Japio
