titleOfInvention | Epoxy resin casting composition |
abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain the title composition excellent in mechanical properties and cracking resistance, by mixing an epoxy resin with an acid anhydride, a phenol resin and an alumina powder. n CONSTITUTION: The title composition is obtained by mixing an epoxy resin (a) (e.g., bisphenol A diglycidyl ether epoxy resin) of a viscosity ≤10,000P (at 25°C) with an acid anhydride (b) (e.g., methylhexahydrophthalic anhydride) of a viscosity ≤10,000P (at 25°C) as a curing agent, a phenol resin (c) (e.g., novolac phenol resin) in an amount to give 0.6-1.2 equivalents per equivalent of compo nent (a) and to be 2-300pts.wt. per 100pts.wt. component (b), 150-500pts.wt., per 100pts.wt. total of components (a)W(c), alumina powder (d) chemically stable to SF 6 decomposition gas and, optionally, a cure accelerator, a colorant, a silane coupling agent, etc., (e). This composition is poured into a mold and heated at about 80°C for about 1-5hr and then at about 150°C for about 15hr to obtain a cured product. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1989,JPO&Japio |
