titleOfInvention | Preparation of foamed product with core material |
abstract | PURPOSE:To attempt both to improve processability and to reduce manufacturing cost, by covering over the whole side of a core material where a foamed layer is formed with a stretchable and air-permeable sheet which allows impregnation of a foaming material but prevents its passing through and expanding a specified foaming material. CONSTITUTION:To prepare a safety pad 10, a skin 12 constituting a surface of a product and a core material 14 as a reinforcing material and a fixing material are separately prepd. and the skin 12 and the core material 14 are set respectively on the inner face of a bottom force 24 and the inner face of a top force 22 of a mold 26 for foam molding. The circumferential part of an air-permeable sheet 30 is fixed on fixing jigs 34 on the top force 22 in such a way that the air-permeable sheet covers over the whole face of the side where a foamed body layer is formed so as to cover an opening hole-forming part 18 and holes 32 for holding pins. Then, a specified foaming material 36 such as urethane foaming material is fed in a molding cavity of the bottom force 24 and a vulcanization (foaming) operation is carried out by heating in an over after the top force 22 and the bottom force 24 are clamped. A specified foamed body layer is thereby formed on one side of the core material 14. |
