abstract PURPOSE:To obtain the title blend, having excellent adhesive strength to insulating resins and conductor metals and useful for filling insulated electric wires, by blending ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer with a modified polyolefin based adhesive and 2-mercaptobenzimidazole in a specific proportion. CONSTITUTION:The aimed blend obtained by blending (A) 100 pts.wt. ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer (preferably with 15-45wt.% vinyl acetate content) with (B) 1-20 pts.wt., preferably 3-10 pts.wt. modified polyolefin based adhesive (e.g., a polymer obtained by introducing functional groups into PE, PP, ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer, etc., by graft polymerization, etc.) and (C) 0.005-0.1 pt.wt. 2-mercaptobenzimidazole.
