abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain a modified cellulose derivative having excellent dispersibility of pigment, providing a low-viscosity composition for forming a coating film, by masking the remaining OH group of a cellulose derivative with a monoisocyanate- or NCO group-containing compound. n CONSTITUTION: The remaining OH of a cellulose derivative (e.g., cellulose acetate butyrate or nitrocellulose) is partially or wholly replaced with an NCO- containing prepared by reacting 1mol organic diisocyanate (e.g., 2,6-tolyene diisocyanate or 1,6-hexamethylene diisocyanate) with 1mol active hydrogen- containing compound (e.g., methanol or diethylamine) having one active hydrogen-containing group in one molecule and/or an organic monoisocyanate (e.g., isopropyl isocyanate) to give the aimed cellulose. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1989,JPO&Japio |
