titleOfInvention Production of putrescine oxidase
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain the subject enzyme, useful as a reagent for quantitatively determining polyamines and used in determining the polyamines in a biological sample, by cultivating a microorganism, belonging to the genus Pseudomonas and capable of producing putrescine oxidase. n CONSTITUTION: A microorganism (e.g.,Pseudomonas.fluorescens IFO-3925), belonging to the genus pseudomonas and capable of producing putrescine oxidase is cultivated and the aimed enzyme is then collected from the above-mentioned culture. Furthermore, the afore-mentioned cultivation is preferably carried out in a culture medium containing a polyamine, such as putrescine, at 20W35°C and pH5W8 under aerated and stirred conditions. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1989,JPO&Japio
