abstract PURPOSE: To obtain the title rubber composition which can simultaneously satisfy braking performance both on a snowed or frozen road surface and on a wet road surface, by mixing a specified stock rubber with a specified amount of a nonrubber component contained in a natural rubber latex serum. n CONSTITUTION: The title composition in prepared by mixing 100 pts.wt. stock rubber (A) comprising 40W80 pts.wt. natural rubber and/or polyisoprene rubber, 20W60 pts.wt. polybutadiene rubber and at most 20 pts.wt. styrene/butadiene copolymer rubber with 45W120 pts.wt. carbon black (B), 20W120 pts.wt. softener and 2W18 pts.wt. (in terms of the nonrubber component) dried powdery product (D) of a natural rubber latex serum. Because said specified amount of component D is added to said stock rubber, the obtained rubber composition for tire treads can give studless tires which can simultaneously satisfy breaking performance both on a snowed or frozen road surface and on a wet road surface, and can be suitably used as a tread rubber of a passenger car tire. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1989,JPO&Japio
