titleOfInvention Electrophotographic sensitive body
abstract PURPOSE:To improve sensitivity, potential stability, and surface strength by forming a layer containing a specified styrylbenzoxazole or styrylbenzothiazole derivative. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive layer to be used has a functionally separated laminate structure composed of an electric charge generating layer and a charge transfer layer containing as a charge transfer material at least one of the styrylbenzoxazole or styrylbenzothiazole derivatives represented by formula I in which each of R1 and R2 is alkyl, hydrogen atom., aryl, aralkyl, or a heterocyclic group; each of R3-R5 and R7 is alkyl, aryl, aralkyl, or a heterocyclic group; R6 is H, alkyl, alkoxy, halogen, or nitro; Ar is an aryl or heterocyclic group; X is O or S; and n is 0 or 1, thus permitting each of sensitivity, potential stability, and durability to be enhanced.
