titleOfInvention Admixture for light-weight mortar
abstract PURPOSE:To obtain an admixture capable of arbitrarily varying the specific gravity of a light-weight mortar, by compounding ultrafine particles of hollow foamed material, fine powder, synthetic resin emulsion and a thickener. CONSTITUTION:The objective admixture is composed of ultrafine particles of hollow foamed material, fine powder, synthetic resin emulsion and a thickener. The ultrafine particle of hollow foamed material is, e.g., an organic microballoon having particle diameter of 10-100mum or an inorganic microballoon having particle diameter of 5-200mum. The specific gravity of the ultrafine hollow foamed material is <=0.04 for the organic microballoon and 0.3-0.7 for the inorganic microballoon. The fine fiber is natural or synthetic inorganic or organic fiber such as carbon fiber, glass fiber, polypropylene, vinylon, acrylonitrile or cellulose. The length of the fiber depends upon the purpose and is usually about 6mm.
