titleOfInvention | Manufacture of aluminum solid electrolytic capacitor |
abstract | PURPOSE:To obtain a capacitor being low-priced and of a large capacity having good conductivity of a manganese dioxide layer and an improved frequency characteristic by using manganese nitrate as an electrolyte thermally decomposing manganese nitrate to form a manganese dioxide layer as a solid electrolyte followed by doping with lithium. CONSTITUTION:A capacitor element 10 is impregnated with manganese nitrate and thermal decomposition is performed in the atmosphere at a temperature 200-260 deg.C for 20-40min so as to form a manganese dioxide layer, which is a solid electrolyte. This impregnation and decomposition process is repeated several times for firing the compact manganese dioxide layer. Then, en element, in which the manganese dioxide layer is formed, is made an active pole and a lithium plate is used as an opposite pole, while a constant-current is made to flow for 1-2h in an electrolyte consisting of a mixed liquid of lithium chlorate, propylene carbonate and dimethyl ether so as to perform lithium doping. The obtained element is either molded with resin or housed and sealed in a metal case such as aluminum and a resin case to be completed as a capacitor. |
