titleOfInvention | Method for measuring ingredient in living body fluid |
abstract | PURPOSE:To simply and rapidly measure an ingredient in living body fluid capable of producing hydrogen peroxide by action of oxidation enzyme, by decomposing hydrogen peroxide in the living body fluid with catalase and reacting oxidation enzyme. CONSTITUTION:When an ingredient capable of producing hydrogen peroxide by action of oxidation enzyme such as glucose, uric acid or polyamine is measured, a living body fluid is preferably treated with anion exchange resin and then brought into contact with a catalase or immobilized catalase to decompose hydrogen peroxide contained in the living body fluid. Then when the catalase is used, a catalase inhibitor is added to a mixture of catalase and living body fluid and then the mixture is reacted with an oxidation enzyme capable of producing hydrogen peroxide by selectively reacting with ingredient to be measured. Thereafter, concentration of hydrogen peroxide produced by action of the oxidation enzyme is measured and concentration of ingredient to be measured is determined from the measured concentration. |
