abstract PURPOSE: To obtain the title composition for films, excellent in adhesiveness at low temperatures, by adding a specified compound to a vinyl carboxylate/ unsaturated dibasic acid ester copolymer emulsion. n CONSTITUTION: 99W50 pts.wt. vinyl carboxylate (a) (e.g., vinyl acetate) is emulsion-copolymerized with 1W50 pts.wt. unsaturated dibasic acid ester (b) (e.g., dioctyl maleate) in the presence of a protective colloid or a dispersant to obtain an emulsion (A) of a copolymer comprising components (a) and (b). Component A is blended with 0.5W30 pts.wt., per 100 pts.wt. solid matter of component A, at least one member selected from among a modified aromatic polyamine, a modified polyamidoamine, a polyethylenimine, an organic dihydrazine compound and, optionally, a plasticizer, a defoamer, a thickener, a dye, a pigment, an antispetic, etc. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1989,JPO&Japio
