It improves the thermal aging resistance of polycyanoaryl ether. n PREPARATION: The compound of formula I can be produced by reacting a fluorinated benzonitrile of formula VI with an aromatic hydroxy compound of formula VII (e.g., 4-phenylphenol or biphenol) in a solvent such as N- methylpyrrolidone, DMA or DMF.
