abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a dispersing agent having a good dispersion effect of solids into liquid by reacting polyisocyanate, a hydroxyl group-contg. compd. and a compd. having an active hydrogen atom of Zerewitinoff and a nitrogen atom- contg. basic group. n CONSTITUTION: The polyisocyanate having functionality of 2.5 to 6 in average is reacted with the compd. expressed by formula I (Y denotes 8-30C aliphat. hydrocabon, alicyclic hydrocarbon or the like) of the amt. at which the compd. reacts with 15 to 50% of the NCO group of the polyisocyanate. The product is reacted with the compd. expressed by formula II (E denotes a -OH group, -NH 2 group or the like; (n) denotes an integer of 2 or 3; G denotes ≥2C aliphat. hydrocarbon or the like) of the amt. at which the compd. reacts with 40 to 75% of the NCO group of the polyisocyanate described above.
