titleOfInvention Phthalate-modified organopolysiloxane and its production
abstract PURPOSE: To produce efficiently an organopolysiloxane having a phthalate group in the molecule, by reacting an organohydrogenpolysiloxane with a phthalate compound in the presence of a platinum catalyst. n CONSTITUTION: An organohydrogenpolysiloxane of formula I [wherein R 1 is a monovalent hydrocarbon group, R 5 is R 1 or H (provided that at least one R 5 of a molecule is a hydrogen atom), and m is a positive integer] is reacted with a phthalate compound of formula II (wherein R 3 is an alkyl, and R 6 is an alkenyl) in the presence of a platinum catalyst to produce efficiently a phthalate-modified organopolysiloxane of formula III [wherein R 1 is as defined above, R 2 is R 1 or a group of formula IV (wherein R 3 is alkyl and R 4 is an alkylene) provided that at least one R 2 of a molecule is a group of formula IV, and m is as defined above]. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1989,JPO&Japio
