abstract PURPOSE: To provide a photo-polymerization initiator containing an aminobenzylidenecarbonyl compound and an N-aryl-α-amino acid as essential components and giving a photo-polymerizable composition having high sensitivity to visible light. n CONSTITUTION: The objective photo-polymerization initiator contains (A) an aminobenzylidenecarbonyl compound of formula I (R 1 WR 4 are 1W6C alkyl; R 5 and R 6 are H, cyano, 2W8C alkoxycarbonyl, 1W12C alkyl or aryl; R 7 WR 14 are H, Cl, Br, 1W12C alkyl, aryl or alkoxy; X is O, S, 1W12C alkyl, aralkyl, acyl, etc.) and (B) an N-aryl-α-amino acid of formula II (R 15 WR 19 are H, 1W12C alkyl or halogen; R 20 is H, 1W12C alkyl, aryl, etc.; R 21 and R 22 are H or 1W8C alkyl).
