abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain an amidosilane only with the reaction product of gaseous hydrogen useful as coupling agents for room temp. vulcanizable silicone compsns. by reaching an Si-H-contg. compd. with an organic amide in the presence of a noble metal-contg. catalyst. n CONSTITUTION: (A) An Si-H-contg. compd. is reacted with (b) an organic amide in the presence of (C) a noble metal-contg. catalyst to obtain the objective amidosilane and amidosiloxane. Furthermore, the components A are HaS; R 4-a [R is an organic-group or roganosiloxy; (a) is 2, 3 or 4) and are composed of hydrolyzed products contg. methyltris(N-methylacetamidedimethyl-siloxy)silane, and the components B are carboxylic acid amide of the formula (R is an organic group; R 1 is H or an R group) such as N-methylacetoamide. It is preferable that the reaction is executed at a temp. of 115 to 135°C for about 25 to 125 hr, and the reaction mixture is held to the blanket of nitrogen or below. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1989,JPO |
