titleOfInvention Thermoforming polyarylene sulfide food container and preparation thereof
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a food container excellent in heat resistance, mechanical properties, chemical resistance, moist heat resistance and oil resistance, by applying melt-molding to a composition consisting of polyarylene sulfide, a thermoplastic resin, a fibrous filler and/or an inorg. filter to provide specific physical properties to the molded one. n CONSTITUTION: A heat resistant food container is formed by applying melt- molding to a composition consisting of 100pts.wt. of polyarylene sulfide [A] of a linear structure containing 70mol.% or more of a repeating unit represented by formula and having a logarithmic viscosity index (concn., 0.4g/dl, temp.; 208°C) in a 1-chloronaphthalene solution of 0.2W1.0dl/g, above 5Wbelow 25pts.wt. of a thermoplastic resin [B] capable of being mixed with polyarylene sulfide [A] to form a uniform composition and 20W400pts.wt. of a fibrous filler and/or inorg. filler [C] per 100pts.wt. of the mixture [A+B]. This food container has thermal deformation temp. (load; 18.6kg/cm 2 ) of 220° or more, bending strength at 200°C of 2kg/mm 2 or more and bending modulus of elasticity at 200°C of 100kg/mm 2 or more and is excellent in heat resistance, oil resistance, moist heat resistance and low gas permeability. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1989,JPO&Japio
