titleOfInvention Hollow fiber-type membrane for blood purification
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a membrane for physiological blood purification with decreased loss of amino acids, by controlling ratio of hollow fiber membrane- permeability for creatine to urea and ratio of the permeability for L-isoleucine to urea to satisfy a specified conditional formula. n CONSTITUTION: For example, cellulose triacetate is dissolved in a mixt. contg. dimethyl formamide as a solvent and ethylene glycol as a non-solvent to form a dope for spinning. Said dope is sprayed through a double-tube nozzle and led to a coagulation bath by dry/wet spinning process. In the process, spraying speed at the nozzle is kept at about 2cm/sec and draft ratio of yarn coiling speed from the coagulation bath to said spraying speed is kept at about 10. Then, washing, treating with glycerin, and drying the resulting yarn are carried out to give a hollow fiber-type membrane for blood purification satisfying x-y≥10% wherein x = membrane-permeability ratio of creatine to urea, and y = membrane-permeability ratio of L-isoleucine to urea. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1989,JPO&Japio
