titleOfInvention Decolorization of dyed fabric
abstract PURPOSE: To efficiently decolorize a dyed fabric through such a process that a fabric is coatedly provided with letters and/or pattern(s) using an acidic whitening paste followed by drying, the resultant fabric is washed in a hot bath containing an acidic whitener, then immersed in an acidic bleaching solution, and subsequently washed with a cold acidic bleaching agent solution. n CONSTITUTION: The subject decolorization of a dyed fabric is conducted by the following process: a dry fabric (e.g. blue jeans) fixed onto a table plate is coatedly provided with letters and/or pattern(s) using an acidic whitening paste such as a bleaching paste containing 12 wt.% mixture of a hypochlorite salt and anhydrous carbonate salt in the weight ratio of 1:1 followed by drying, the resultant fabric is immersed (for about 45 min) in a hot bath (at about 60°C) containing an acidic whitener (e.g. 2% aqueous solution of ammonium peroxosulfate) and washed, then immersed in an acidic bleaching agent at 30°C, e.g. a solution containing a carbonate salt, metasilicate, ammonium peroxosulfate, percarbonate salt and/or hydrogen peroxide, and subsequently further immersed in a pH 2 cold acidic bleaching agent solution and washed, thereby decoloring the fabric in high productivity; wherein the dyed fabric is pref. deep-dyed one dyed with esp. an indigoid dye. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1989,JPO
