abstract NEW MATERIAL: A compd. expressed by formula I, wherein A is (CR 9 R 10 ) r R 11 [R 9 is H, an alkyl; R 10 is R 9 , OH, etc.; R 11 is C(O)OR 19 (R 19 is R 9 , phenyl, etc.), CH 2 OH, CHO, etc.; r is 0 to 6]; R 1 to R 6 are each H, an alkyl, alkenyl, (CH 2 ) n M (M is CN, hydroxymethylketone, phenyl, a halogen, NO 2 , etc.; n is 0 to 3); R 7 , R 8 are H, an alkyl. n EXAMPLE: 2-Fluoro-5-(P-chlorobenzyl)-5,6,7,8,9,10-hexahydrocyclohept[b]indole-7- acetic acid. n USE: Prostaglandin antagonist.
