abstract |
PURPOSE: To obtain the above compound useful as a synthetic intermediate of industrial importance inexpensively and in high yield, by reacting a fluorine- containing organic halogen compound with carbon dioxide in the presence of zinc and then reacting the prepared reaction mixture with a halgenated hydrocarbon. n CONSTITUTION: A fluorine-containing organic halogen compound shown by formula I (X and X' are each independently F, Cl, Br or I with the proviso that compound wherein X and X' are simultaneously F is omitted; Rf is F- containing aliphatic group and the number of carbons thereof is 1W20 when one of X and X' is F and the number is 3W20 when one of X and X' is not F) is reacted with carbon dioxide in an organic solvent in the presence of zinc alone or an alkali metallic ion or ammonium ion and zinc. Then the reaction mixture is reacted with a compound shown by formula II (R is 1W20C alkyl) to give the aimed compound. An aprotic polar solvent is preferable as a solvent used in the reaction.
