abstract PURPOSE:To correspond to a high-speed printing with a superior fidelity of printing image by forming an ink layer with an ink using a mixture of a thermoplastic resin and a specific aliphatic polycarbonate as a binder. CONSTITUTION:As an aliphatic polycarbonate, a polycarbonate having hexamethylene repeated units shown by a formula II is preferably used, and especially that of the order of 1000-3000 number-average molecular weight is desirable. A thermoplastic resin, such as polyamide, ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, ethylene-ethyl acrylate copolymer, and styrene-butadiene-styrene block copolymer, is used. In a binder made of a mixture of the above materials, the content of the aliphatic polycarbonate is preferably 5-50wt.%. An ink forming an ink layer is prepared by adding generally the order of 5-50pts.wt. of a coloring agent such as a carbon black per 100pts.wt. of the mixture of the thermoplastic resin and the aliphatic polycarbonate and thereafter mixing and dispersing them.
