titleOfInvention | Polyester-polycarbonate composition with favorable melt viscosity property |
abstract | PURPOSE: To provide a polyester-polycarbonate composition excellent in extrusion moldability and blow moldability by blending specific polyester and polycarbonate with poly(O- or N-epoxyalkyl-substituted)cyclic amide, etc., at a prescribed ratio. n CONSTITUTION: (A) Linear polyester or copolyester-carbonate containing measurable ratio of epoxide-reactive functional groups (e.g. polybutylene terephthalate- contg. free carboxylic acid terminal groups), (B) polycarbonate or copolyester- carbonate inactive to epoxy group (e.g. bisphenol A polycarbonate) and (C) poly(O- or N-epoxyalkyl-substituted) cyclic amide, imide or imidate or reaction products thereof (e.g. triglycidyl isocyanurate) are prepared. Then, 100 pts.wt. A component, about 54 pts.wt. B component and about 0.05 to 3 pts.wt. C component are blended at this ratio. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1989,JPO |
