abstract PURPOSE: To provide the title transducer which operates in high and wide frequency ranges and has high S/N by coating a thin film of a piezo-electric high polymer on a high-polymer base body on which a thin film electrode is deposited. n CONSTITUTION: The base body 4, one end of which is formed as a recessed surface, is deposited with the thin film electrode 5 of copper by electroless plating over the entire surface thereof. The thin film 8 of the piezo-electric high polymer of P is formed to 5μm thickness on the recessed surface and the circumference thereof from a DMF soln. by a spin coating method. The thin film electrode 9 of Au is further formed on this thin film by a sputtering method. The thin film 8 of the piezo-electric high polymer of P is subjected to a heat treatment for 1hr at 150°C to grow crystals prior to poling and thereafter, voltage is impressed between electrode terminals 10 and 11, by which the poling is executed. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1989,JPO&Japio
