abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a medicinal composition for prevention containing specific amounts of pinacidils as active ingredients, having effect in inhalation and administration and effective against arterial hypertension, capillary hypertension, etc. n CONSTITUTION: This composition contains effective and/or preventive amount of pinacidil or its salt or its solvated product and, as necessary, a carrier as an active ingredient. The ingredient is effective against diseases such as lung hypertension, e.g. arterial hypertension, capillary hypertension or blood vessel hypertension. Generally, 0.01-50mg, e.g. 0.01-10mg is daily administered in divided 2-4 portions, preferably divided 1-3 portions as an amount effective in treating these diseases and total daily dose is generally 0.0001mg/Kg. The ingredient is advantageously administered in the form of unit dosage composition (e.g. oral or parenteral composition of unit dosage, preferably inhalation composition). n COPYRIGHT: (C)1989,JPO
