abstract | Provided are an electromagnetic wave absorbing material and an electromagnetic wave absorbing body containing the material, which can obtain an electromagnetic wave absorbing body having a thickness which is conventionally identified and which has a wider band. An electromagnetic wave absorbing material, wherein the electromagnetic wave absorbing material contains a multiferroic material, the multiferroic material contains bismuth (Bi) and iron (Fe), and further nickel (Ni), cobalt (Co), manganese. (Mn) and chromium (Cr), which is a composite oxide containing one or more first additive elements selected from the group consisting of (Mn) and chromium (Cr), wherein the composite oxide has a perovskite type structure and double perovskite ) Type structure, a Ruddlesden-Popper type structure and a Dion-Jacobson type structure, and the multiferroic material absorbs the crystal structure. The material whose electromagnetic wave frequency is in the range of 100 MHz or more and 1 THz or less. |
