Provided is a glossy coating material that can give a glossy feeling, does not peel off from seeds, and does not adversely affect germination performance. A bright material, containing talc, polyvinyl alcohol, ethylene / vinyl acetate copolymer and an aqueous medium, wherein the content of the bright material in the gloss coating for seeds is 10% by mass or more and 30% by mass or less.
