abstract | An optical filter is provided which is advantageous in preventing color unevenness from occurring in an image generated by an imaging apparatus. An optical filter (1a) includes a light absorption layer (10). The light absorption layer absorbs at least part of light in the near infrared region. The optical filter (1a) satisfies a predetermined condition regarding transmittance when light having a wavelength of 300 nm to 1200 nm is incident on the optical filter at incident angles of 0 °, 30 °, and 40 °. Also, nine differences in IE θ rR , IE θ gG , and IE θ bB defined for incident angles θ ° of 0 °, 30 °, and 40 °, respectively, and the same two incident angles θ ° A range that is a difference obtained by subtracting the minimum value from the maximum value of the three differences of IE θ rR , IE θ gG , and IE θ bB satisfies a predetermined condition.
