titleOfInvention | Can body applicable to cap with excellent corrosion resistance |
abstract | <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a can remarkably excellent in corrosion resistance, of which the upper part subjected to severe work is free from a crack in an inner coating layer and does not cause corrosion and discoloration due to the exposure of a base metal, even in the case of filling the can with corrosive contents, and of which the part near the opening is made diametrally smaller than the can body so that a cap is applicable. <P>SOLUTION: The base material of the can is a tin-plated steel sheet subjected to surface treatment. At least one of the faces of the sheet is coated with amorphous thermoplastic organic resin. The sheet is subjected to stretch draw ironing to form the can, with the maximum thickness reduction ratio of the can body to the original sheet being 20% or more. The amount of free tin at the upper part of the can body is 0.1-1.8 g/m<SP>2</SP>and the tin content of tin-iron alloy is 1.5 g/m<SP>2</SP>or less. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
