titleOfInvention Cleaning member
abstract <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning member for an image forming apparatus that suppresses an elastic layer from being peeled off from a core body. <P>SOLUTION: A cleaning member for an image forming apparatus includes: a core body 100A; a foam elastic layer 100B that is spirally arranged on the outer peripheral surface of the core body 100A; and an adhesion layer 100D for causing the core body 100A to be adhered to the foam elastic layer 100B. A contact area rate S per unit area of an area, in a surface opposite to the outer peripheral surface of the core body at least at one or both ends in the longitudinal direction of the foam elastic layer 100B, that contacts the outer peripheral surface of the core body 100A through the adhesion layer and a peeling index W of the foam elastic layer 100B represented by a conditional expression (A1):W=&epsi;&times;t<SP POS="POST">3</SP>&times;(1/R) satisfy the relationship represented by a conditional expression (A2):W&lt;1.42&times;S&times;&alpha;. In the conditional expressions (A1) and (A2): &epsi; represents the Young's modulus (N/mm) of the foam elastic layer; t represents the thickness (mm) of the foam elastic layer; R represents the radius (mm) of the core body; and &alpha; represents the adhesion index (unit: dimensionless) of the adhesion layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&amp;INPIT
