titleOfInvention | Diamine, liquid crystal aligning agent, liquid crystal aligning film, and liquid crystal display element |
abstract | The present invention is provided to develop a polyamic acid capable of achieving many characteristics (high voltage holding capacity, little remained DC (direct current), high liquid crystal alignability, high rubbing resistance, etc.) required by a liquid crystal (LC) alignment layer. The invention is achieved through a diamine shown by formula (1). In formula (1), Y represents a single bond or a 1-9 C linear alkylene group, and any -CH2- in the alkylene group may be replaced by -O-, -N(CH3)-, 1,4-phenylene, 1,4-cyclohexylene or piperazine-1,4-diyl; n is 0 or 1; and one hydrogen of a benzene ring that the amino group is bonded to may be replaced by -OH. However, when Y is an alkylene and n is 0, -CH2- that the amino group is bonded to is not replaced by -O- or -N(CH3)-. |
