abstract <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new apparatus and a new method for power generation. <P>SOLUTION: A power generation apparatus 20 includes a cantilever 22 formed by a metal, a contacted member 24 formed by a semiconductor, and dynamic power generation part 30 taking out electric power generated by dynamically contacting the cantilever 22 with the contacted member 24 to an external circuit. The dynamic power generation part 30 includes a first terminal 26 connecting with the cantilever 22, a second terminal 27 connecting with the contacted member 24, and a fixing part 28 fixing the cantilever 22 and the contacted member 24 so that the cantilever 22 contacts with the contacted member 24.
