abstract | <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor having good electric characteristics, enabling a high-quality image to be formed and having less wear in a photosensitive layer and excellent durability even when repeatedly used, and to provide an image forming apparatus using the photoreceptor. <P>SOLUTION: The electrophotographic photoreceptor has at least a photosensitive layer on a conductive support, wherein the photosensitive layer contains a copolymer polycarbonate resin having a structure of formula (1) and a specified structure.
